Roll Tide @ Memphis

Alabama softball hosts the regional tourny this weekend. The U of Memphis coach sent an email Bama’s Coach Murphy entitled “BIG FAVOR”. Assumed they were asking where to stay/eat or something. Nope: they wanted to know where they could volunteer. The team’s coming early Thursday to volunteer before their official practice. Important note: this is Memphis’s first ever regional tournament– and they’re more concerned about helping us than anything. That’s just flippin’ cool.

He will never leave you…

We are from St. Clair County where the storm ravaged a whole community. We lost some very special people to the storm. We miss them dearly. When life deals us storms we leave it in God’s hand to deal with, but when the real storm of nature comes we are completely loss and caught off guard. That is why you always know He will never leave you no matter what comes in life. The ones left here to grieve need to hold their heads up and keep our loved ones in our prayers. We love you and miss you alot.

To All Our Volunteer Firemen

They were out seconds after…We live in the Goldridge Area [near Cullman, AL]. Personally, we did not have any damage other than no power and loss of work. Some of our commumity didn’t make it through the storm. But I would like to thank the Goldridge Fire Dept and all the others in our community for a job well done, what a great job each and every one of them did to make sure every person was taken care of. They gave people a place to gather, a place to either eat or cook a meal or sleep. They made sure our elderly were taken care of and they gave their time helping to clear the roadways. They helped with emergency calls and even spent days handing out tarps, food, water, oxgen tanks, making sure our community was safe and well considering the destruction. They went house to house and spent many long hours giving all they could to help our community stick together and be safe. Thank you all……
